As the leaders in wind energy, we offer a complementary solution that ensures continuous power generation, regardless of weather – day & night. SA Wind Energy in South Africa Question 1: What are the benefits of integrating solar and wind energy? Answer: Integrating solar and wind energy provides a more reliable and consistent energy supply. Solar energy is abundant during the day, while wind energy can be harnessed day and night, complementing each other effectively. This synergy helps balance energy production and reduces dependence on the grid. Question 2: What are the various models available in South Africa? Answer: Our Wind Turbines are made in Cape-town for Inland and Coastal areas in South Africa. GTX-1kW, GTX-1.5kW, GTX-2kW, GTX-3kW and the GTX-5kW All our models come with LOW RPM`S (low rotational speeds) Our Coreless sealed Generators all operate silently. These Generators are made for the Coastal and for Inland conditions. Good for wind speeds up to 140kph. The Blades are made from Fibreglass and UV Protected. The inner flange or frame assembly is made from 10mm solid Aluminium. Nuts ad bolts are Stainless Steel. Well Packaged and boxed for peace of mind delivery. Free Delivery in South Africa. Question 3: What technologies facilitate the integration of solar and wind energy? Answer: Key technologies, such as our GT On-Grid and GT Off-Grid Controllers, provide energy management systems that are compatible with South African solar systems. Our Controllers are tested in-house with Automated Optical Inspection machines and Digital microscopes. These technologies (made in Cape-town, South Africa) optimize the use of both energy sources and manage the flow of electricity efficiently. Ensuring that supply meets one`s individual energy needs. Question 4: How compatible are solar and wind energy as an add-on to an existing solar system? Answer: Solar and wind energy integration is highly compatible and can be confidently added to existing solar systems. Our Powerhouse GTX models operate at low RPM, making them suitable for both inland and coastal regions. Question 5: How does our Wind Turbine Work? Answer: From the Wind Turbine the wind creates Kinetic Energy (the spinning of the wind turbine), which then must be connected to our GT Controllers, (The management system). Our GT Controllers are well engineered and come in 2 options; 220V and 380V systems for GT On-Grid applications, which can connect to the spare MPPT port on your inverter. 96V GT Off-Grid options for scenarios without a spare MPPT port, connecting directly to batteries. The GT On and Off-Grid Controllers feature a well-engineered battery management system designed for the new High-Voltage battery systems. The GT Controllers are the protection and the management system for the Batteries. Question 6: How does the combination of solar and wind energy affect energy storage needs? Answer: The integration of solar and wind energy significantly reduces energy storage requirements. When Power production is high, excess energy can be stored in batteries or used immediately. Wind energy can fill in the gaps during low sun solar conditions. Also, the Wind Turbines offer power day and night. This is particularly beneficial on cloudy or rainy days, when wind can provide effective energy generation. The synergy minimizes the need for large-scale storage systems and enhances battery lifespan. Question 7: What is the future outlook for solar and wind energy integration? Answer: The future outlook is extremely promising, with advancements in technology and decreasing costs paving the way for greater adoption. South Africa is committed to renewable energy, and the integration of solar and wind. This plays a crucial role in achieving sustainable energy goals and combating climate change.
