How to paint an interior wall
Thinking about painting your wall yourself? we've put together. few steps for you to follow to get you on the right track.

• Acrylic paints are perfect for areas that are normally dry.
• You can also get paints that are suited for areas that are damper.
• Matt, Satin or gloss paints are also options so remember to have a look at the type of finish you would require.
• Clean & repair any cracks on the wall if needed.
• The quality of the finished wall will all depend on proper preparation.
• Mark out your area with masking tape and use drop sheets to protecty your floors and furniture.
• If your wall is crumbly look to correct this with a base stabiliser. This needs 3-4 days to dry.
• We suggest an undercoat is applied to improve adhesion of the paint and best colour opacity.
• After undercoat allow for 24 hours for the paint to dry.
• Mix your paint to ensure you get consistant colour.
• Paint corners and edges with a precision brush.
• Paint your wall in sections squaremeter by squaremeter.
• Allow coats to dry before applying your next coat.
• Apply the paint vertically then horizontally to get a uniform application.
• An extension pole can assist with application in high hard to reach areas.
