ST Umbrellas started from humble beginnings when Mark Malherbe identified the opportunity to create a business that purely focuses on Umbrellas to supply to the Promotional, Retail and Hospitality industry, within no time Shade Trends grew into the leading supplier of umbrellas in South Africa. In 2014 we created a specialised retail division to penetrate into the Retail market and within 18 Months, the company had captured 65% of the retail market, becoming one of the first ‘local’ supplier to supply the PEPKOR Group. ST Umbrellas is based in Kyalami, Gauteng, incorporating not only the Head Office, but also the warehouse and recently established manufacturing divisions. Sufficient stock levels are maintained to ensure that both the retail and promotional markets can receive their orders within hours. ST Umbrellas caters for every market and every industry by carrying an extensive range of umbrellas: including Mini hand – held umbrellas, Golf umbrellas, Hook handle umbrellas, as well as a full range of Beach umbrellas and Patio umbrellas. The company can also assist with customised umbrellas, thereby offering the client a unique and exclusive product. The company has an extensive and efficient staff complement thereby offering immediate service and punctual quotes. The telesales staff are able to offer over the phone advise and guidance as well as assist any client with stock levels and pricing. ST Umbrellas also offers full in-house branding via silk screen printing or sublimation whereby logos can be printed directly onto the umbrellas.
