1.1 You must notify Bags Direct of the return within 7 days of delivery by sending an explanation as to why you want to return via our contact page or email [email protected]. Thereafter the 7 days we cannot be held liable.
1.2 We do offer hassle-free returns within the 7-day period. If the item was not what you expected, you are able to return it to us yourself / your own courier or for a fee of R150 and R250 for furniture items, which we will organise the courier to collect the order. Once we receive the order back we will do an inspection to ensure the returned product is in good condition. We will then refund you the original amount paid (less the original delivery fee).
1.3 We will not accept returned products that are not in their original packaging, if the product is damaged, unsealed, used, or missing, or the products show signs of handling and/or re-packaging.
1.4 All our flat packed furniture comes with instructions please follow it avoid any unnecessary breakages we will not be liable for any breakages upon assembling.
2. Refunds
2.1 If you received the goods damaged or defective we will replace the item if we have stock. Failing that, we will refund you for the damaged goods in full.
2.2 Items ordered but want to be cancelled due to changing your mind are subjected to a refund (less delivery fee) if the item has not yet been sent out for delivery. If it has been delivered you will have to follow our return policy.
2.3 If you forgot to use your coupon code, we cannot add it to your order or refund you the discounted amount but you are allowed to use it on your next order.
2.4 Pre-order status items have been added on every single page. Items ordered under this status are imported for you from Europe. You may exchange it for another item for the same value in stock, if you changed your mind or you may wait for the item to arrive and follow our return policy.
3. Replacements
3.1 Replacements can only occur if you notify us within 7 days of receiving the goods. Email us [email protected] with proof of damages. We will not refund or replace if there is any evidence that the product has been used.
3.2 If we cannot see clear damages we may ask you the return the products to us, after we inspect it and can clearly see the defects we will exchange it long as if the item is still in its original packaging and has not been modified in any way.
3.4 Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to be delivered to you, may take up to 2-7 business days.
4. Defective products
We will try our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of high quality, and in good working order and without defects.
What is a defect? A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances. Please refer to our FAQs for examples.
The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section:
4.1 Faults resulting from normal wear and tear.
4.2 Damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product.
4.3 Damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion.
4.4 Damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product.
4.5 Damage arising from unauthorised alterations to the product.
4.6 Where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.
5. Standard Warranty
5.1 If you have received a product which turns out to be defective, please notify us as soon as possible after you become aware of the defect or poor quality. You can do so by notifying us via our contact page or [email protected]
5.2 Where there is no extended supplier warranty period, unfortunately we cannot facilitate returns that fall outside of a 7-day period of receiving the goods.
