Return & Refund Policy – AR Clearview (Pty) Ltd- (Leroy Merlin Marketplace Orders)

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all air conditioning products supplied by AR Clearview (Pty) Ltd via the Leroy Merlin Online Marketplace. By purchasing from us, you agree to the conditions outlined below, which are in line with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and Leroy Merlin’s marketplace policies.

1. General Conditions for Returns

All return requests must be made through Leroy Merlin’s marketplace platform within the specified timeframes.
Products must be returned in their original packaging, unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition, unless defective or damaged on delivery.
Proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) is required.
Returns outside of the policy timeframes will not be accepted unless mandated under warranty.

2. Returns Due to Change of Mind

Customers may return an item within 7 calendar days of delivery if they no longer want it.
The product must be unused, unopened, and undamaged.
The customer is responsible for the return courier/shipping costs.
A restocking/handling fee (up to 15%) may be applied.
Refunds will be processed once the product has been inspected and approved.

3. Returns for Incorrect, Damaged, or Defective Products

If you receive an incorrect, defective, or damaged product, you must notify us via Leroy Merlin’s platform within 24 hours of delivery.
We will arrange collection and replace the product at no cost.
If a replacement is not available, you may choose between a full refund or a suitable alternative product.

4. Warranty & Faulty Products

All air conditioning units are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover damage caused by:
Incorrect or uncertified installation
Power surges or electrical faults
Negligence, misuse, or accidental damage
Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or tampering
Warranty claims must be logged through Leroy Merlin’s customer service platform and will be assessed by the manufacturer or an authorized service provider.
If approved, the unit will be repaired or replaced in line with the warranty terms.

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned unless defective:
Products that have been installed or used
Units damaged due to incorrect installation or mishandling
Special order items or customized products

6. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days.
Refunds are made via the original payment method used on Leroy Merlin’s platform.
Delivery and installation fees are non-refundable, except where the product is defective or incorrectly supplied.

7. Installation Responsibility

All installations must be carried out by a qualified and certified air conditioning technician.
Improper installation will void both the return rights and the manufacturer’s warranty.

8. How to Initiate a Return
All return requests must be made through your Leroy Merlin customer account under “Orders”.
Select the item you wish to return and follow the guided steps.
Provide supporting details such as order number, reason for return, and photos (if applicable).
Leroy Merlin’s customer support team will coordinate with AR Clearview for collection and processing.
