The gas lift is the component most prone to wear and it normally does not fall under the warranty cover but it is an easily replaceable part. FEATURES: 360-degree rotation Height adjustable (see spec sheet for min/max height detail) Weight Capacity:120kgs-150kgs (Range depends on Size of Mechanism, Base and Castor) NOTE: Gas lifts come in different shapes and sizes, so it is highly recommended that you measure your existing gas lift in order to choose the correct gas lift for your needs. SPECIFICATIONS: Our gas lifts all have a 50mm diameter standard thickness that tapers towards 44mm at the end of the gas lift where it is inserted into the chair. It is Highly Recommended that you make sure that the hole in your wheel base is within the 44mm-50mm diameter range to ensure that the gas lift will fit in your chair. Also note that the larger the hole, the gas lift tends to sit lower. 10cm variant: This shorter gas lift is suitable for lower chairs, it has a higher taper so that the black outer casing of the gas lift (not including the silver piston) protrudes out from the top of the wheel base by about 100mm, due to the high taper, depending on the base, the bottom of the shaft may also protrude slightly from the bottom of the base. 14cm variant: This standard sized gas lift is often found in office chairs, it has a shorter taper so that the black outer casing of the gas lift (not including the silver piston) protrudes out from the top of the wheel base by about 140mm, the bottom of the shaft may sill protrude from the bottom slightly, but it is unlikely to be an issue on standard sized bases. NOTE: It is not difficult to insert a new gas lift, however removing the old one might be difficult. We recommend using a rubber mallet in conjunction with lubricant such as Q20 or WD40 to avoid damaging the rest of your chair.
