Product Type: HIGH OIL CONTENT, SINGLE COAT, WOOD STABILIZING & WATER REPELLENT SEALER FOR FURNITURE AND JOINERY Description: Furno-Coat is a solvent free, high oil content (>97% v/v) wood stabilizing and water repellent wood sealer for aesthetic and protective treatment of uncoated indoor and outdoor timbers in a single coat application. It is ideal for use on timbers such as wooden furniture, joinery, cladding, flooring, etc. where a natural clear or colored matt to low sheen finish is preferred. Furno-Coat has been specially formulated for the addition of specialized wood coloring “Solv-Tints” pigment dispersions that are based on high-quality, UV resistant transparent iron oxide pigments to provide a range of “washed” color effects in a single coat application. Furno-Coat has a high content of urethane alkyds and natural drying oils that provides a high degree of wood stabilization and water repellency to the sealed wood surface. It deeply penetrates, nourishes and seals the wood from the inside out and dries to a natural, satin-like matt finish. Furno-Coat also contains UV absorbing and light stabilizing additives to enhance its performance against sunlight degradation when used on outdoor timbers. It is recommended that “Furno-Shield” is used as protective topcoat on “Furno-Coat” pre- sealed timbers where additional scratch, abrasion, chemical and water resistance is required such as wooden floors and stairs, bar tops, kitchen cupboards, wooden furniture, etc. Use Restriction: Not recommended for use on previously coated timber surfaces. Remove old coatings and thoroughly sand surface to a smooth finish before application of Furno-Coat. Application: Use a clean, soft cloth, sponge or soft bristle brush dipped in Furno-Coat and apply in light, short strokes, ensuring thorough and even distribution of the oil. Leave the oil on for at least 15 to 20 minutes (but not more than 30 minutes) to allow for absorption into the wood. Wipe off any excess liquid, leaving a natural smooth finish. Simply reapply further coats as and when desired. IMPORTANT: - In the case of decking boards, apply at least one liberal coat to the entire surface area (bottom, top and sides) before installation. NOTES: - Touch dry within 40 to 60 minutes and fully cured within 24 to 36 hours. - Timber can be left as is or alternatively, TimberLife’s clear water-based “Furno- Shield” can be applied as a final finish/topcoat for additional scratch, abrasion, chemical and water resistance. Application Rate: 20 m2 – 40 m2 per ℓ per application, depending on condition of surface. Dilution Rates: Ready for use. DO NOT DILUTE. Storage: Storage temperatures should not exceed 40 °C. Keep containers tightly closed. Packaging: 250mℓ, 1ℓ, 5ℓ, 25ℓ and 200ℓ containers. Caution: The product is combustible. Avoid open flames. Used cloths and sponges may ignite spontaneously – Dispose of in a safe manner or completely submerse in water after use.
